Product Information
Atopica® for dogs is a non steroidal treatment for long term care of atopic dermatitis. Atopica® contains cyclosporine (modified), an immunosuppressive agent used to treat diseases and disorders caused by an overactive immune system.

Atopica® 25 mg Capsules: 14 mm, white (yellow-white red imprints), oval soft gelatin capsule, filled with liquid, no score, imprinted with NVR;25mg. (NDC 58198-4352-01)
Atopica® 50 mg Capsules: 22 mm, white (yellow-white red imprints), oval soft gelatin capsule, filled with liquid, no score, imprinted with NVR;50mg.  (NDC 58198-4353-01)

Usage
Atopica® should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Capsules should not be split or opened. Wash hands after handling.
Missed Doses
Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
Side effects may include loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea. Your pet may also experience liver and kidney problems. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
Drug & Food Interactions
The following drugs can potentially interact with cyclosporine: acetazolamide, allopurinol, amlodipine, antibiotics, carvedilol, cimetidine, ciprofloxacin/enrofloxacin, corticosteroids, digoxin, erythromycin, gentamicin, ketoconazole, methotrexate, metoclopramide, metronidazole, omeprazole, phenobarbital, and phenytoin. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication or supplements you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. 
Cautions
Atopica® is not for use in breeding , pregnant or lactating dogs. Do not use Atopica® if your pet has a history of cancer.
Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Storage
Store at 59°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store in a childproof container. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medicine in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
