It contains an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that controls all stages of the flea life cycle. This product is toxic to cats and should only be used on dogs. FirstShield™ Trio is a product for use in dogs that repels and kills fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, lice, sand flies, and mites (excluding mange mites). FirstShield™ Trio begins reducing flea feeding in 5 minutes and starts to kill fleas within 6 hours of application. FirstShield™ Trio kills through contact, parasites don't have to bite to die. Prevents the development of fleas, flea eggs, larvae and pupae for one month. Remains effective after bathing and swimming. |

Side Effects |
A temporary irritation may develop at the site of administration, such as slight transitory redness, erythema, or itchiness. Call your vet if symptoms are bothersome to your pet. Your pet may continue to show signs of itching for a few days after the product has been applied, even though flea activity has been stopped. If itching persists or appears to be troublesome to your pet, contact your veterinarian. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian. |

FirstShield™ Trio should be applied topically as directed by your veterinarian. |
Cautions |
This product is only for dogs. Do not use FirstShield™ Trio on cats. Wash hands with soap and water after application. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. There are no known drug interactions with this product, however, certain medications may interact with insecticides. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching. |

Storage
Store long term at 70 degrees F (room temperature). Store in original packaging to protect from moisture & freezing. If kept at room temperature and sealed in the original packaging, product does not have an expiration date. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
