Galliprant® Tablets should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian.

Cautions

Galliprant® should not be used in dogs that have a hypersensitivity to grapiprant. Not for use in humans. Keep this and all medications out of reach of children and pets.  For use in dogs only.

Galliprant® 100 mg tablets are not scored and should not be broken in half.  Breaking the 100 mg tablet in half will not guarantee that half of the active ingredient is contained within each half of the tablet.

If Galliprant® is used long term appropriate monitoring is recommended, can cause a decrease in serumn albumin and total protein.  Galliprant® has not been evaluated in dogs younger than 9 months of age and less than 8 pounds, dogs used for breeding, or in pregnant or lactating dogs or dogs with cardiac disease.

Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. The following drugs can potentially interact with grapiprant: nsaids, or corticosteroids (aspirin, carprofen, meloxicam, deracoxib, firocoxib, dexamethasone, prednisolone, and prednisone). Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.

Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
